ARCHIVED is an ongoing study of the body as an archive in flux.
Unstable, edited, endlessly rewritten. Selves performed, stored, and quietly redacted, staged first for no one but themselves.
For some, the archive was never neutral. It was always an instrument of erasure.
The question this work keeps returning to is one of gaze. Does the archive exist to be accessed? Does it need an audience to function?
The body in ARCHIVED is both the document and the witness. It was never waiting to be seen.
